BRING BACK KEE ANN FOOD STREET

In 2019, Kee Ann Food Street was started in May with much fanfare.

Mobile stalls for selling food and wares with eating tables were set up.

Street food and open air dining were allowed for visitors.

Pick up rate was good and crowd came to enjoy the open air pasar malam from 6.00pm to 11.00 pm on Fridays to Sundays.

In December 2019, even Santa Claus graced Kee Ann Road Food Street as well.

Unfortunately, from early 2020 until 2022, Malaysia was hit by Covid 19. It caused voluntary public lockdown to be implemented. Public gathering and open air pasar malam were not allowed.

This 3 years lockdown affected Kee Ann Food Street and it had to be closed since 2020.

Until 2023, organisers have not re-opened it. They were saddened by public complaints.

To revitalised this part of Kampung Jawa and for enhancing public economic activities, this Kee Ann Food Street should be re-activated as soon as possible.

We support the re-opening of our Kee Ann Food Street so that we can offer another food street venue  to visitors other than Jonkers Walk.
