 KEE ANN ROAD BECOMING A TOURIST HUB

Kee Ann Road used to be very busy from 1930s until 1980s because the Central market is located here during this period. 

After the market was shifted out in 1990s, Kee Ann Road is now becoming a tourist hub for visitors to stay for a night or two from outstation.

A few medium priced hotels are located on Kee Ann road like Prima Hotel. 

              

Other medium priced hotels nearby are Kingston Hotel, Tun Fatimah Riverside Hotel,1825 Gallery Hotel and Hallmark Express Hotel ( former Regal Hotel in 1970s ).

Nearby, we have the international class hotel namely Dusit Princess ( formerly Ramada Hotel ).

On weekends, outstation tourist buses can be seen parked outside these hotels.

For food, there are a few kopitiams nearby at Jalan Bunga Raya, Jalan Munshi Abdullah and Jalan Bendahara like JJ Chicken Rice Balls cafe, Nyonya Secrets, popular Lorong Siham, Pork Rice, Bunga Raya Popiah,  Meow Mee Korean cafe, Abstract Japanese cafe and many more.

To visit the world renown Jonker Walk and other historical and cultural sites, visitors can just walk over the bridge over the Melaka River at Jalan Pasar or Jalan Kampung Jawa.

Health enthusiasts and joggers can always walk or jog along the pathway besides the Melaka River early in the morning or late evenings when it is cooler.

Also, we recommend to take our Melaka River Cruise at night to view the colourful river lights or walk down the river romantically with your love ones.

Kee Ann Care Center turns 5 with her upgraded private garden.

Patients can visit the garden on their wheelchairs and see the plants around the garden. 

This is only green premises in Kee Ann road.

Our company has given a key to our operator of our joint free public health screening clinic yesterday.

One Medic will clean up the space to the hygienic standard.

Kim Hock Goldsmith and Jewellery shop has finally opened on the Chinese auspicious Eight month.

KEE ANN ROAD FLOODED LAST NIGHT

Our online webcam captured the flooding of Kee Ann road last night.

                  Kee Ann road flooded.

  On the right, you can see rubbish flowing in 

                       the open drain.

The open drain was full and was not able to drain the rain water. Rubbish was thrown into the drain and has clogged up the drain as well. The public must not throw rubbish into these drains.

EXTERNAL WEBCAM TO MONITOR KEE ANN ROAD

We installed an external WiFi webcam to monitor the street remotely.

Activities around the street can viewed live using this webcam.

HALF SHOP FRONT TO LET

After the sliding doors are installed, we appointed a real estate agent to let out our premises.

This half shop front is suitable for mobile phone seller, kebaya shop, health shop, souvenir shop and other small enterprises.

UPGRADING HALF SHOP FRONT

We upgraded our half shop front with a new glass sliding doors in front of the roller shutter door.

At the same time, we added a 1hp inverter air conditioner for the premises.

Our KEE Ann road Studthuys has been completed in early April 2024.

It took about 6 months to be completed.

A private company has proposed to construct a 19km-long tramway system for Melaka, using five-car trams carrying up to 280 passengers. (Metro Trem pic)

PETALING JAYA: The Land Public Transport Agency (Apad) is carrying out a public consultation for views on a proposed 19km-long tram system in Melaka to be built by a private company, transport minister Loke Siew Fook said today.

He said the consultation was an important step to take before approval of the tramway scheme is granted, Bernama reported.
