Revisiting 1965: The Bustling Days of Jalan Bunga Raya, Malacca ✨
Can you imagine a water buffalo standing right in the middle of Malacca’s busiest street back in the 1960s? 🐃
Look at the nostalgic vintage signs and advertisements on the left—555 Cigarettes, Sanyo, Esso Gas, and Bata shoes—instantly evoking the atmosphere of a bygone era. 📺 ⛽ 👟
What is truly poignant is that, back then, every single shop was open for business, and the streets were alive with the hum of the crowd—a stark contrast to today, where most storefronts have long since pulled down their shutters and fallen silent. 🏬 🔒
The hand-carved Chinese characters on the shop pillars remain clearly visible. 🖌️
And that old utility pole, towering high as if conversing with the sky... having weathered the changes of over half a century, it still stands proudly in its original spot, bearing witness to the passage of time. 🗺️
